moulded frame item No. 602247000 with front protective AR70 glass, which rather enhances this painting even further. - Your focus is drawn to the isolated tranquillity with mist ascending high up the hills & into the mountains on both flanks adding mystery to the atmosphere, a narrow walking path to the right with green low lush grass on the verges leading up to the tough rugged mountains also purple heather to the left can be viewed in the background. Lower down are 4 multi coloured in red, golden brown & black long horn cattle standing in tall golden brown moorland grass, 3 of them are looking towards the viewer, the 4th looking down & is only interested in grazing, with stone boulders nearby & further back. A winding loch is to the right, The water is lighter towards the bottom right & gets darker further back with light shimmering on the surface creating a chiaroscuro effect light todark which is brilliant. Having such broad perspective detail this calming scene.

- Artist biography Gustave de Breanski was a British 19th Century painter who was born in the mid 19th century during the Victorian era in the circa year of 1856. His father was originally from Eastern Europe & moved to England. He was brought up near the banks of the river Thames in the London borough of Greenwich. He also had a known younger artist brother Alfred De Breanski who painted mainly landscape scenes. Gustave’s passion was painting mainly marine nautical paintings. He was known to have exhibited at the Royal Academy during the 4th quarter of the 19th century. Also at the Royal Society of British Artists.
- Breanski's paintings have been exhibited and sold at galleries and auction houses around the world, the current highest sold price is $23,341 US Dollars. Gustave’s passion was painting mainly marine nautical paintings. He was known to have exhibited at the Royal Academy during the 4th quarter of the 19th century. He painted remote scenes of around the United Kingdom & especially around Scotland, using his own distinct style of vastness with perspective. He focuses on the surface appearance, along with the radiance of his use of light creating a chiaroscuro effect on the water and sky. His landscapes are rare & even more sought after. He flourished as an artist between 1880 and 1892, he died towards the end of the 19th century in around 1898.
