🏛️ Diana the Huntress – Original Art Deco Bronze Sculpture

🏛️ Diana the Huntress – Original Art Deco Bronze Sculpture by R. Henn | c.1920s | Signed & Marble Base

🎨 Subject & Medium:

Presenting an exceptional Art Deco bronze sculpture of Diana, the Roman goddess of the hunt, moon, and wild nature. Captured in a dynamic, kneeling stance, Diana draws her bow in intense focus — a moment frozen in mythic energy and grace. This piece embodies strength, independence, and classical beauty with fluid motion and dignified poise.

Expertly cast in solid bronze, the sculpture features a rich brown patina with warm golden highlights, bringing out intricate details and enhancing depth. It rests on a polished black marble base, offering a striking contrast that balances both composition and presence.

🌀 Composition & Technique:

Crafted in the Art Deco style of the 1920s, this sculpture blends classical anatomy with streamlined modernism. Diana’s form is rendered with lifelike musculature and elegant contour, emphasizing motion and divine serenity. Her poised expression deepens the narrative tension.

The sculptor’s attention to detail is masterful — from the taut curve of her bow to the flowing lines of her garment. The dark patinated bronze harmonizes beautifully with the marble plinth, producing a timeless and sophisticated visual statement. It is a stunning example of early 20th-century bronze craftsmanship rooted in myth and movement.
