Founded in 2005, Cheshire Antiques Consultant LTD is a British fine art and antiques consultancy based in Central London, led by Directors Michael and Victoria.
For over two decades, the firm has advised private collectors, interior designers, dealers, and institutions on the acquisition and placement of historically significant works of art and decorative objects. Our approach is grounded in academic research, connoisseurship, and a rigorous commitment to authenticity, provenance, and market integrity.

The Directors
Michael is a fine arts appraiser and independent art historian with over twenty years of practical experience in the evaluation and curation of paintings and sculpture. With advanced academic qualifications in Accounting and Business, he combines financial acumen with scholarly discipline. His areas of expertise include Old Masters, British portraiture, maritime painting, and European fine art traditions.
Victoria is a cultural heritage specialist with a strong background in antiques and decorative arts. Her research experience in historic preservation and European material culture informs the firm’s approach to provenance analysis and period attribution. She brings particular expertise in sculpture, textiles, and European interiors.
Together, they oversee all acquisitions, research, and client advisory services, ensuring each work is selected with academic integrity and informed market awareness.
