George Houston RSA, RI, RSW (1869–1947) was a prolific Scottish landscape painter whose works are celebrated for their atmospheric sensitivity and regional charm. Best known for his depictions of Ayrshire, Argyll, and the Highlands, his work has been collected by major institutions, including Glasgow Museums.

Houston illustrated Ayrshire Idylls (1912) with writer Neil Munro, and produced a series of etchings titled Burns’ Country(1915). His works continue to sell strongly at auction, with top prices reaching $28,000 USD.
