Returns Overview

At Cheshire Antiques Consultant LTD, we take immense pride in the rarity, quality, and condition of every item we offer. While we hope you are delighted with your purchase, we understand that occasionally a return may be necessary. Please review our policy carefully:

  • Eligibility: Returns are accepted within 30 calendar days from the date of delivery.

  • Condition: Returned items must be in the exact condition received, including all original packaging and documentation.

  • Responsibility: All return shipping costs are borne by the buyer. Special delivery charges (including express, enhanced, or next-day services) and insurance costs are non-refundable.


International Returns

Buyers outside the UK are fully responsible for:

  • Return shipping

  • Any customs duties, demurrage, port storage, or import taxes paid on your behalf

  • Additional delivery attempt charges if the item was undeliverable (e.g. failed access or entry)

These associated costs will be deducted from the final refund amount.


Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Items purchased as part of a sale, discount, or under a Make An Offer agreement

  • Deposits or part payments

  • Gift cards or downloadable content

  • Intimate, perishable, or health-related goods

  • Hazardous materials or flammable liquids


Refund Process

Once your return is received and inspected, you will receive confirmation of receipt and an approval or rejection of your refund.

Approved refunds will be issued via your original payment method within a standard processing period.

Please note:
Refunds exclude any non-standard shipping, insurance, customs duties, or international charges.


Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund:

  1. Recheck your bank or card account

  2. Contact your credit card issuer or PayPal for processing updates

  3. Contact your bank for potential delays

Exchanges & Upgrades

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged upon receipt. To request an exchange or upgrade, get in touch:

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift at the time of purchase and shipped directly to you, you may receive a gift credit for the value of your return. If the gift giver arranged delivery to themselves, the refund will be issued directly to them.

We strongly recommend using a trackable courier service and purchasing insurance for items valued over £50. We do not guarantee receipt of items sent without tracking or insurance.


Important Notes

  • If we arrange return collection, shipping costs will be invoiced based on your location.

  • Items that cannot fit into your property, or where delivery is refused or missed, will be returned at your expense. Costs will be deducted from any eligible refund.

  • Marketplace purchases (e.g., Chairish, Rubylane, Pamono, eBay, Vinterior, 1stDibs) are governed by that marketplace’s return policies and not ours.
