- Subject Welsh landscape view of the beautiful Conway River which focuses on a quiet pool area of the river, with raised jagged stone boulders behind on the left. With lower land on the right with further trees, a small open orchard area where 2 sheep can be seen grazing. In front a golden brown tree is inbetween boulders in the river. Further back in the distance hills & mountain ranges, higher up white cloud sky with spots of blue coming through near the very top, over the left is grey storn cloud gathering. You will love the vibrant hue colours, the greens, greys, golden browns, brown, sky blue & white.

- Set in a fine origInal gilt frame which enhances this work of art further.

- A good display size with the frame being 62 cm wide and 46.5cm high.
- Signed T. Spinks by the known artist Thomas Spinks in the bottom corner.
- In our opinion this is a very fine example of his work.
- Biography of the artist Thomas Spinks a known British artist who was born in 1847. His works have been sold at auction houses around the world & exhibited at the Walker Art Gallery Liverpool also in the Manchester Art Gallery & The Royal Academy. The highest sold price was for 6,650 US Dollars, for a work of his that sold at Christies. Spinks was primarily a landscape, he was recorded as living in London in 1880. he exhibited between 1880 and 1907. He moved to North Wales Betws-y-Coed in 1889. He died in 1927.

- Front painting surface is in good overall order. A repair has been made to the back of the canvas, with a paint touch up to the front where the canvas repair is. With various craquelure & some foxing stains to the canvas surface. The frame which has various general wear, repairs, chips losses, scratches in places commensurate with usage & old age.
