Delivery & Payment

Cheshire Antiques Consultant LTD® provides secure, insured domestic and international delivery for fine art and sculpture. Each work is professionally packed and monitored from dispatch through to safe arrival.

We prioritise discretion, clear communication, and secure handling of all transactions.


Payment

  • Full payment is required prior to dispatch.
  • Primary method: verified bank transfer (UK and international).
  • Card payments (including PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay and Google Pay) are accepted up to £5,000 GBP.
  • Transactions above £5,000 GBP are settled by bank transfer only.
  • Cash accepted upon collection (up to £8,000 GBP).

A proforma invoice with verified bank details is issued for each transaction.


International Clients

  • All payments must be made by the registered buyer.
  • Ownership transfers only upon receipt of cleared funds.
  • Deposits may be accepted; balances are due within agreed terms.

UK Delivery

Delivery is available throughout mainland United Kingdom.

  • Standard: 2–4 working days
  • Express: 1–2 working days
  • Economy: 5–7 working days

All deliveries include tracking and standard transit insurance.

Access Requirements

  • Restricted access or upper floors may require specialist couriers.
  • Installation and timed delivery can be arranged where required.

International Shipping

We offer insured worldwide delivery. Transit times typically range from 3–10 working days, subject to destination and customs clearance.

Customs & Duties

  • All shipments are sent on a Delivered Duties Unpaid (DDU / DAP) basis.
  • Import duties, VAT, and clearance charges are the responsibility of the buyer.

If customs charges are refused and goods are returned, all associated costs will be deducted from any refund in accordance with our Returns Policy.


Packing & Storage

All works are professionally packed using protective materials and specialist handling where required.

Short-term storage may be available by prior arrangement following purchase.


Collection

Collection may be arranged by prior appointment following receipt of cleared funds.

Collections take place from our Chester location or an agreed collection point, depending on the nature of the work.

All collections are strictly by prior arrangement. Our premises are not open to the public and we do not offer walk-in collection or viewings.

Buyers or their appointed couriers are responsible for the safe handling and transport of the work from the point of collection.

Risk in the goods transfers to the buyer upon collection.


Frequently Asked Questions

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Insured worldwide shipping is available.

Is delivery insured?

Yes. Transit insurance is included. For paintings, the painted or artistic surface is covered. Frames and glass are not insured separately unless agreed in writing prior to dispatch.

Can I track my order?

Yes. Tracking is provided where available.

Do you carry out identity verification?

For qualifying transactions at or above €10,000, or linked transactions, customer due diligence may be required prior to dispatch in accordance with UK anti-money laundering regulations.
