Condition Report
Presented in good vintage condition consistent with its circa 1980 date.
The original painted surface is well preserved, retaining bright colours and stable paint layers. No obvious evidence of restoration or overpainting is apparent under normal inspection.
The original gilt wooden frame remains structurally sound and displays light age-related wear, including minor rubbing, small surface marks and an overpainted chip to the upper-left corner. These details are entirely consistent with the painting’s age and previous handling.
The reverse retains its original backing and printed Jean Bowler studio label from Orinda, California. A hanging wire is not presently fitted and should be added before the painting is displayed on a wall.
Overall, this attractive miniature painting presents extremely well.
