- Severiano Ballesteros Soda 9 April 1957 – 7 May 2011) was a Spanish professional golfer, a World No. 1 who was one of the sport's leading figures from the mid-1970s to the mid-1990s. A member of a gifted golfing family, he won 90 international tournaments in his career, including five major championships between 1979 and 1988: the Open Championship three times and the Masters Tournament twice.
- He gained attention in the golfing world in 1976, when at the age of 19, he finished second at The Open. He played a leading role in the re-emergence of European golf, helping the European Ryder Cup team to five wins both as a player and captain.
- Balusters won a record 50 European Tour titles. He won at least one European Tour title for 17 consecutive years between 1976 and 1992. His final victory was at the 1995 Peugeot Spanish Open.
- Craig Campbell launched his Open Championship series in July 2007 to include 1 Cotton Carouse 1937, 2 Hogan Carouse 1953 and 3 Palmer Royal Airedale 1961.

- About the artist, Craig is one of Scotland's leading portraiture and figurative artists. He was a finalist in the Scottish Portrait Awards 2017. Craig Campbell, he was born in Ayrshire in 1960. This area of Scotland is abundant with golf courses and playing fields, so it’s not surprising that the majority of his inspiration has come from sport and its personalities.
- Craig studied at The Glasgow School of Art and then spent his early years working in London as a Graphic Illustrator for several of the leading agencies. Having decided to paint for a living, Craig returned to Glasgow. His close attention to detail soon earned him prestigious exhibition, a successful American tour, and a show of his golf paintings at the Open. His love for all sports, golf in particular, brought him back to his painting.
- After graduating from Glasgow School of Art, he worked as an illustrator in London before joining De Mont fort fine art publishers, specializing in sport. His work is mostly recognized through his sporting and Tam O'Shatter images. He now concentrates on portraiture. Cam bells paintings continue to attract a growing number of art collectors that include many media and sports personalities.
- Patrons and famous clients of his include Sean Connery, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Arnold Palmer, Tiger Woods, Grey Norman, Jeff Bezos and most recently for the Trump family, President Donald J. Trump.
